More New Dies

Hi Friends,

The festive cards are all finished now so on with some work for my classes. I've been playing with the heart framelits which I treated myself too just before Christmas. Iwas going to do a Valentine card with them I still am but this is what happened a doulble easel card for a 40th Anniversary. The gold is from the champagne glimmer paper so gorgeous you only need such a small amount to give a card some real bling.I love it! I've done a wedding card using it too.

i hope you've all amaged to escape the lergee, I haven't so thats why I 've not been posting so much but feeling much better now so hopefully more posts real soon. I've entered this in the Make my Monday challange http://mimchallegeblog.blogspot.co.uk/

My New Dies

Hi
Sorry for not posting but life has just been so busy, out demonstrating my drunken robin christmas cakes stampin up classes christmas shopping to mention a few. I did have time to do this telescopic card using my new dies together with the paper pricking mats I love them. I will be putting a mark to let me know where I  started though but generally I love the effect they leave. This is my favourite stamp set this year as everything on this card is using that one set called Beautiful Season. I've used my pens to colour the bird image and them painted the images with my aqua pens as this highlights and emphasis's the pictue. The writing is done using earky expesso and to finish off my new stampin up splonges to distress the edges.Hope you like this.

Enough of Christmas for Today

I seem to have been doing Christmas cards all the time so thought it was time for something else. as I'm supposed to be doing UFO's(unfinished objects) at the moment. I decided to make this telescopic cards for Birthdays . I,ve really enjoyed doing them although a little time consuming i love the end results. be careful where you put the brads so that they don't obscure your stamping and they are in line.
Relly missing not going to convention this year as I keep wondering what the girls from my team are up to. I've made my mind up T'll be there next year and hopefully it will be in England!

One Sheet Wonder

One Sheet Wonder I've wanted to do one of these for ages. well finally I did it! although I used some patterned paper I've had for years I used stampin up punches and my favourite cherry cobbler background. Some punches and cherry cobbler ribbon. the patterned paper was only 8" x 8" so well pleased eight cards should have been nine but hey ho love these anyway.

Take Two

I thought I'd have a go at making this card without dies and my Big Shot. well i did it and i love the result it uses only one stamp set beautiful season which is my favourite this year. Always artichoke, Cherry Cobbler aand early expresso inks with sponged edges.I've used my Aqua Painter just to fill in the leaves and berries. hope you like this card .

Monday 22 October 2012

Beautiful Telescopic

Well I've been dying to make this little telescopic card it fits in a 4 x envelope because it spirals togetther. Soo cute I've used Cherry cobbler and Always artichoke for my colour combo and Beautiful Season Stamp Set. i like the works with this set as not everyone will be happy but Thinking of you fits better. I've got to have a go at making this with some SU dies but they've only just come. i am wondering if you can do it with squares as not all my ladies can run to a big shot. I've used my inks to colour in the images and sponges to soften the egses of the white. Off to make my sons birthday card now. back ASAP

Ideal Stocking Fillers

I've been making more shopping list pads! I think these will make ideal stocking fillers, I've made quite a few as I 've got one or two craft fairs before the great event. I've used the mixed bunch stamps and punch for these a die for the leaves and a small flower punch.  Just colours the centres with a marker pen. Designer paper glued onto thicher card  for the cover and background. Used up papers i wasn't too keen on and they looked great. I will be doing some more with owlsand branches . Its lovely and sunny but crisp here today so off to do some washing because I think it will dry well today.

Now what would be your favourite thing in the new cattalogue. I've been really good so far and have only ordered the Be of Good Cheer DSP papers but they are gorgeous. It was Team Training for our team last Saturday and just look what I made with it. It wasn't my original idea but from a demo I swapped with last year in paris at convention, you never know what will happen in the future. Her blog is fab i look quite often .take a look at .lezardsdecilou.canalblog.com

Mixed Bunch for Christmas

Hi
I've been to my caravan in yorkshire for a few days and as the weather wasn't so good rained for about 24hours solid not just raining but pouring. fortunately i'd taken my craft stash with me and this is one of the things i made yesterday. i'd seen it on Sally Jo blog and loved it so much just had to have a go. it was quite time consuming but I do love it.http://stampin-sally.blogspot.co.uk/ as I haven't got any stampin aplphabet stamps I've improvised with some I had years ago but it was good to practice with. The snowfakes are stamped using mixed bunch this is such a versatile stamp set. the roses are made from the centre cut out into a spiral and rolled up again securing on the base with glue.
Hope to be back real soon with more projects.

Golden Wedding

Hi

Sorry I've not blogged much this week had another cake to do.i have only been able to use my old computer which doesn't upload photos, hopefully everything is back to normal now. It took as long to do as the wedding cake last week but it is my favourite sort of cake. Royal iced embroidery flowers and dropped loop work. there were a few hairy moments when I had to turn the ckae upside down to achieve the upper loops on the side of the cake but it all went to plan and I'm very pleased with the results.

Marry Me Eleanor

This is my favourite wedding stamp (Marry Me), although it is retired I have kept it for me until I can buy a new current one i like. I hadn't got any wedding cards in my box and when a freind needed to make a couple we decided to craft together. We had a lovely time together mine were very different to her beautiful vintage style ones but thats what its all about to me each of us have our own unique style even though we use the same things. nothhing is the same. Everything Eleanoe is so useful on every sort of card wedding birthday or just to add a little something on the edge of a card.

Back to Blogging

Hello,

Back to work this morning after a short break in my caravan, but I always take a bag with some stamps and inks with me and whilst I was there I made these cards with the A la Carte stamp Sail Away and early expresso ink, card and a couple of punches. I sometimes like to limit myself with my supplies so beginners aren't using too many things and it doesn't cost them too much to buy the products. If you look close i have decoupaged the sails. the sky is coloured by cutting a template of curvy card and distressing on too the sail away card. hope thats clear. I've painted the sea with an aqua brush and ink.hope to have more posts soon. Sue

Shopping List Pads

Hi Friends,

At Leeds training I forgot my notepad! So Helen my upline gave me a lovely little one she'd decorated. I used it that day but as soon as I had chance I decided to buy some and decorate myself. thay are loved by all my friends and make a super little gift. so this week I've bought some shopping list pads and decorated them. I've used some old DSP papers and teamed it with the mixed bunch stamp set and the bird punch. instead of using the punches for the flower I have cut it by hand. I think I'll invest in the punches though its much quicker if I am to make a lot.

The Wedding

Hi

As some of you know my son is getting married next Friday and we will be there at this time next week. so i've been very busy making things for it. The cake favours invites etc.I made these this morning just for the special guests(Bridesmaids, and Ushers). they match the invites and order of service etc.

Monday 21 May 2012

I made this recently for a hostess of n SU Party.I've used the top note die with the two step bird punch for the leaves and the dasisy Die for the flowers.

Thursday 17 May 2012

Hi

These are two cards I demonstrated at a recent stampin up party. i limited myself to one stamp pad one image stamp and a set of words. for the first one and one extra image set for the second.

I was trying to stay simple for beginners and a little more advanced for some more experienced ladies. Last year when I went to Convention they pointed out how much some cards would cost if we added up all the ink paper and equipment we used so I kept these to a minimum. using painting with ink and a pen to colour the butterflies . It was quite refreshing not to have too much to choose from. I have also done some mens cards with the Open Sea which I'll shared with you soon.

Cute Mini Daisy Card

Hi

Just finished my swaps for Regoinal training Day on 19th May at Leeds. i decided to so something simple so I have made mine 3" x 3" spring cards with the daisies flower on. I think they are soo cute really enjoyed making them.I got eight swaps fom a 12" x12" piece of old olive and cut the whisper white into strips to get more from a sheet. the centres were punched using my two step owl punch and all held to gether with a dimension a brad looks really good but I didn't have enough so i thought of these. I know you could have used the die but it was quicker to use my owl punch.

Have a Lovely Day

Sue
